The Raleigh Area Development Authority (RADA) has launched a free program for employers designed to address the financial literacy needs of their employees, specifically those who meet low to moderate income requirements
Employers are invited to contact RADA to learn more about the free on-site program, which provides ten hours of free confidential and classroom education focused on improving personal budgeting, building credit, and achieving or maintaining home ownership. All classes are provided by trained and certified counselors.
Only ten employers will be selected, and classes will be limited to 20 employees each. All program activities are conducted at the employer’s facility during the employee’s non working hours.Employer Assisted Programs have been implemented throughout the United States as an additional employer benefit. “RADA recognizes that such programs contribute to employee personal financial stability, which further contributes to overall employee performance and retention. Programs often focus on a limited goal such as financial literacy, improving credit, or, achieving home ownership, and target low to moderate income workers. The RADA program curriculum incorporates information in each of these areas,” said Wallace Geen, RADA President.
